Ahead of Debut EP, Lucia Makes Long-Awaited Return With “Wash You Clean”

It has been over a year since NYC native and indie-folk darling Lucia last released music - and to say that fans are starving would be an understatement. People are lined up at their local food banks and supermarkets as we speak, each queue filled with murmurs of speculation regarding where Lucia is, and when they might be able to expect new music. To those patient fans I say this: your prayers have been answered as this week Lucia finally returns with the long-awaited single “Wash You Clean” ahead of her debut EP.

Over steady and meditative guitar chords, Lucia opens her heart and lets her soul speak via dulcet vocal layers and an undeniable affinity for clever songwriting. Synthesizing elements of folk, rock, and pop into one uniquely refreshing style, “Wash You Clean” details the feeling of helpless tension while watching a partner create distance between themselves and you because of who they once were - but Lucia swears to close the gap and build connection once more.

“Wash You Clean” is the first single from Lucia’s forthcoming EP set for release later this November, and if this is any indication of things to come, than fans can rest assured that the great Lucia drought is over. Until then, time is running out to claim ‘early fan’ status, so do yourself a favor and do a little deep dive over the weekend for your own benefit. You won’t regret it.
