Derek Simpson's  "Hide + Seek" Inescapably Captivates You

Derek Simpson's latest single, "Hide + Seek," inescapably captivates you. For the entirety of the six-minute song, you are put in a trance. A delectable guitar establishes the feel-good, alternative R&B vibe and drives the alluring beat throughout. Soft and soothing, both male and female vocals add the perfect flavor. Although Simpson reveals that the majority of the track came about in a single afternoon, "Hide + Seek" and the euphoric space it transcends have much greater longevity.

"Hide + Seek" captures a feeling. Derek describes it as "when you first start to realize that you and another person have an unspoken attraction, but it's too early for you to know exactly what that chemistry means or how you'd like to interact with it." How exciting it is to wonder about compatibility. Meanwhile all the wonderful elements combined in this track are without a doubt, symbiotic.

He also films and directs all of his music videos, and he even designed his own font for the  KiNG SUN  LP he released in August 2019. [The innovative art piece offers illustrated individual tarot cards that represent the deeper meaning of each track from the album.]

Additionally, those who pre-saved “Hide + Seek” were granted access to “bad_connection”, a free album and short film by  Derek. “bad_connection” is now publicly available on his website:  https://www.dereksimpsonmusic.com/bad_connection.

Derek's all-encompassing creative mind is impressive. His latest single, "Hide + Seek," is a stunning and hypnotic musical listening experience. Listen below:
