Rebounder Welcome Warmer Horizons With the Wistful “Boy Friday”

Do you ever feel like time is slipping by before your very eyes? As we grow up, it's commonplace to dread getting older, pondering all the things we have yet to achieve. Radiant indie rock project Rebounder knows all too well the immense anxiety that comes with climbing life’s never-ending latter, perfectly expresses that stress along with joy and enthusiasm for what’s ahead in “Boy Friday.”
Through airy instrumentation and lush, relaxed vocals this serene tune is a true summer jam. Member Noah Chenfeld admits, “On this one, we were really interested in the idea of feeling excited and optimistic about the future, while simultaneously noticing, recognizing the passage of time more and the natural pressure it puts on you to try harder to get where you wanna go."
The vintage-style visuals also provide that Kodak summer feel. The video is directed by Ben Klein (Sundance 2022 winner) and is a tranquil illustration of New Yorkers lost in Los Angeles. Dylan and Noah Chenfeld of the band take a drive through sunny Los Angeles, venturing into the Hollywood hills, the beach, and even the notorious Erewhon market. Passing palm trees while blissfully riding with the top down, Rebounder displays the city’s carefree air to idyllic effect.
Rebounder is comprised of New York native producer and writer Dylan Chenfeld, his brother Noah Chenfeld, Cobey Arner, and Zack Kantor. Touring with major acts like The Neighbourhood and Dayglow, Rebounder is rapidly rising in today’s indie scene. Known for their laid-back ambiance and smooth vocal tone, each release brilliantly glows, and “Boy Friday” is no exception, emanating that same vibrant warmth.
