Jon Vinyl and Tash Unleash Summer Vibes with "Euphemism"[PREMIERE]
I'm all out of euphemism's to describe Jon Vinyl and Tash's new collaboration. Jon Vinyl, a Toronto native, traveled to Los Angeles to record with Australian songstress Tash to create their baby, "Euphemism." With over 3.3 million streams on Spotify, Jon Vinyl brings his expertise to "Euphemism." This collaboration seduces you into its grasp as you're entranced by the production.
"Euphemism" is soulful, tasteful, and unleashes a calm and summery vibe. Unlike some collaborations, this one feels necessary. When Jon Vinyl dives in, it adds a whole new feel to the single. His smooth voice contrasts her velvety vocals making the song complementary, contagious, and candid.
Jon Vinyl talks about teaming up with Tash:
I came across Tash’s music via Instagram after stumbling on an acoustic video of hers. I was blown away by her voice and decided to reach out. Surprisingly, she was familiar with me and my music. We got to know each other a bit and of course, the idea of collaborating was organically brought up during the conversation. We decided to connect in LA with the purpose of creating something cool and "Euphemism" is the end result of that.
Tash's music took off when she was discovered by Mark J Feist, a multi-platinum producer, and songwriter for the likes of Beyonce, Mary J Blige, and John Legend. She comes from a musical family, her mom a guitar teacher, and her dad a bass player.
Tash comments on making music with Jon Vinyl:
Working with Jon Vinyl was a really cool experience, especially since he was an artist I had discovered a few months before we met. I loved his sound, in particular his song "Nostalgia", which I added to a few of my playlists straight away. Then out of the blue a few weeks later, he reached out to me on Instagram, suggesting a collaboration. So then we arranged to work together and we created "Euphemism". I'm so excited to share what we've worked on, I think we made something really special.
Jon Vinyl's first song "Nostalgia" garnered the attention of OVO Radio and Shawn Mendes, who attended high school with Vinyl. Vinyl grew up listening to old school R&B artists like Luther Vandross, Jodeci, and Maxwell. He began making music at age 15. Now, 21-year-old Vinyl is working on his full-length album.
"Euphemism" is only the start for the young up-and-comers. Tash and Vinyl contain the soul and passion of mature artists. "Euphemism" mixes their voices together to form a beautiful R&B swirl.
