The opportunity is too good to pass up; Sara Diamond is literally a diamond in the rough. The Montreal-based songstress is the vocal equivalent of an Olympian and has a sound steeped in R&B and soul. Diamond's most recent single, "Ride," is demonstrative of her overall appeal and magnetic presence, which has landed her features in the industry's buzziest outlets as well as placements in Spotify's Viral Top 50. Her 2018 EP, Foreword, is an artful collection of songs, with every single track worth a full listen. "Ride" is Diamond's first single since the release of her EP, and it's destined to top charts.

Diamond has an inspiring mastery over her voice, with runs and vocal agility reminiscent of an early Alessia Cara. "Ride" showcases her abilities effortlessly between a hard beat and rhythmic phrasing, integrating distinctive details like a recurring riff to tie it all together. The song ends with funked-out instrumentation, giving the listener the much appreciated opportunity for an air guitar solo.

Diamond commented on the meaning behind "Ride," saying,

“'Ride' is an anthem for anyone who has felt trapped in their mind and has allowed fear to dictate their decision making. Together, we can ride and make the most of the lives we were given and the lives we choose to create.”

Sara Diamond is a good one to track, as she is inevitably headed toward big things. Give "Ride" a listen and check out her EP Foreword for more R&B confections.
