Welcome to the End: Maren Morris’s New Single Backs LGBTQ+ Youth

Maren Morris is having one hell of a summer.

Between dropping her new album Dreamsicle and releasing the hypnotic single “Welcome to the End,” Morris is inviting us into a world that feels as fresh as a sorbet at golden hour.

Produced with Jack Antonoff, “Welcome to the End” clocks in at just two minutes, but it doesn’t behave like a typical single. Instead, it swirls with Beatles-esque psychedelia and exposed vocals that give part Magical Mystery Tour, part millennial meltdown anthem. It’s dreamy, it’s punchy, and the lyrics tap into the emotional tension of chasing a dream. “Oh, have you forgotten? / This is what you wanted,” she sings, like a reminder shouted from the backseat of your own ambition.

“Welcome to The End” is a song about the mental sacrifices you’ll make to achieve your dream. It’s not a straight or pretty path to get there, but your own resilience can surprise you. I’m so happy we can devote its release and message to The Ally Coalition as well as my friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff’s studio initiative to help integrate recording studios into LGBTQ+ youth shelters.” - Maren Morris

Fittingly, “Welcome to the End” isn’t just a stand-alone single — it’s Maren Morris’s contribution to the forthcoming All Things Go benefit compilation album, created in partnership with The Ally Coalition. The festival, known for championing inclusivity and emerging voices across its D.C., NYC, and new Toronto editions, is using the compilation to raise funds for LGBTQ+ youth. The Ally Coalition, founded by Jack Antonoff and his sister Rachel, works to support queer youth through housing, mental health care, and now — thanks to Jack’s latest initiative — by building recording studios inside LGBTQ+ shelters. It’s a powerful alignment: a song about the bittersweet creative path helping fund real spaces where the next generation can begin their own.

Catch Maren Morris on tour this summer as she brings Dreamsicle to stages across the U.S.
