Young Saab, Nana Lourdes, and Rome Fortune Deliver Your Next Weekend Anthem With "girls in town"

Whether or not you're recovering from the onslaught of DONDA livestreams or Lollapalooza, it may be safe to say we all are deserving of a break. The past few months have definitely been hectic, but I can't be the only person feeling exceptionally burnt out, right? Luckily, Brooklyn duo Young Saab returns with their newest track "girls in town," a bittersweet bop about a love gone sour. Accompanied by upcoming indie-pop star Nana Lourdes and Atlanta favorite Rome Fortune, "girl in town" is a cathartic and laid-back weekend anthem primed for your weekly rotation.

If "girls in town" is your first exposure to any of these three artists, then consider this a well-timed invitation to upgrade your library. In one corner, we have Young Saab, a nearly-genreless duo whose collaborations can range anywhere from ambient R&B to explosive punk rock (see "High Right Now" with Wes Period and Transviolet). In the other corner, we have the Portugal-born Nana Lourdes, whose eclectic blend of electronic and indie-pop stylistics have landed her multiple headlines over the past year. The two are joined by beloved hip-hop favorite Rome Fortune, known for his carefree cadence, poetic prowess, and his near-universal likeability. Together, the three of them unite on "girls in town" - a chill indie-pop track sporting trap percussion, polished pop vocals, and straight vibes at every moment.

Beneath the sheer chaos of the past year, be sure to whisper a small "thank you" to Young Saab for bringing together this supergroup of artists on "girls in town," because it may or may not have been my saving grace. Together, the three showcase an undeniable and enviable grasp on forward-thinking songwriting and creative bops that their peers could only hope to emulate.
