In a time where it feels like we’re living in the worst timeline, at least we count ourselves “lucky” that we live in the timeline where Fcukers is releasing new music. In celebration of announcing the upcoming release of their debut album Ö, set to release March 27 via Ninja Tune, the NYC duo have dropped their latest single “L.U.C.K.Y.,” a pulsing track that sees the pair put a swirling, atmospheric spin on electronica.

The track opens with dreamy, lush layers of synthesizers, beats, and drum machine patterns, luring the listener into a sound space reminiscent of feverish, endorphin-rich, nights spent on the dancefloor. Front woman Shanny Wise softly sings on the hook, “L-U-C-K-Y, I’m lucky / Y-O-U- are mine, ‘cause I’m lucky,” supported by the captivating, high-energy instrumentals from bandmate Jackson Walker Lewis. As the song builds momentum, she sings “You won’t make me cry/ Make me sigh/ Make me wanna die / You wanna be my man / Hold my hand / Take me for a ride,” strapping us in as the track reaches its euphoric peak.

The accompanying music video, directed by Wise, perfectly captures the carefree energy of the single. The hazy visual follows Wise as she dances in a packed club wearing headphones as flashing lights cast a glow over the partygoers dancing around her.

And the good news keeps on coming. Alongside the single release and the debut album announcement, Fcukers have announced a new run of North American tour dates, kicking off on April 2, where they’ll perform at The Observatory in San Diego. The pair will then make stops in cities like Santa Ana, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Chicago, and more later throughout the month.
