The laundry list of guidance doled out after a break-up always includes one consistent piece of advice, stay busy and stay distracted. "Black Hole" hears Griff struggle with just that, as her mind can't quite stop fantasizing about the what-ifs of a failed relationship.

Griff personifies the emptiness of losing someone, relating it to an all-consuming black hole. While a bit melodramatic, it perfectly captures just how overwhelming it can be to process a break-up and put yourself back together. The song's production is flooded with a bouncy synth and punchy drum beat, a darker twist on Griff's typical bright poppy sound. Showcasing her versatility and lyrical maturity, "Black Hole" alludes to Griff's inevitable stardom.

The video for "Black Hole" is a visual masterpiece, giving viewers a glimpse into Griff's escapist fantasy. Switching between clips of Griff working in a sewing room to riding a horse on an abandoned street, it's the perfect visual embodiment of how difficult staying distracted can be.
