Noah Elliott Tries His Best to Welcome the "End of Summer"
As we near the end of summer, it only makes sense to signal the transition the only way we know how, via song. Thankfully, for us, Noah Elliott's latest single, "End of Summer" is the perfect send-off to what once was.
"End of Summer" is the sixth single off his forthcoming debut EP, Songs For The Optimist, and it's the break-up bop we've all been waiting for. Although the lyrics reflect heartbreak and the struggle of moving on from a relationship (which we can all relate to), you can't help but smile while singing the infectious and catchy melody.
The Oregon native, LA-based artist has amassed quite the following since releasing music from his college dorm room. Surpassing over 500 thousand Spotify listeners early on, "End of Summer" sees Elliott sharing his story of reflection and self-realization.
"What do I do / when everything reminds me of you," sings Elliott, capturing the vicious cycle of healing from a relationship only to be thrust back into the throes of heartbreak upon passing a landmark or reminder of your loved one is far too relatable for words. Perhaps Elliott puts its best, candidly sharing, "I thought that I was completely over this person, but I wasn't. I was hiding it from myself."
