Rewind: Our 5 Favorite Music Videos of the Last Week

Renao - "Moonwalking"

Ok, call it curation laziness but we’ll be here for all of London-based Renao’s visualizers; he’s always delivering extended gif-like visuals that are fun, cheeky, and effortlessly bouncy. In "Moonwalking," Renao comes out in full lounge singer charm, full of mirrorballs, big lapels, and glitter waterfalls. Fun and a jam right to the end (someone has to clean up that glitter sadly…), check above to get your moonwalk on.

Talk Show - "Leather"

For all you who like guitars but don’t want to stop dancing types, then this riff and rhythm-laden gem from Talk Show is exactly for you. Properly credited as inspired by The Rapture's "House of Jealous Lovers," this nouveau dance rock track has the personality of the band on full ruckus display. Whatever the banal setting, the energy of Talk Show and "Leather" is immediately evident.

grentperez - "Ego"

Sydney-based DIY king grentperez has a qualified quirky vibe that lends itself to wondrous and humorous visuals like the ones we find on full display in "ego." How do you create a band for a fictional late-night performance? Well, take the good and bad part of yourself, your ego of course, and set them loose for dramatic effect (the closed captions are genius as well).

Mia Wray - "Evidence"

In the short format of a music video, one of the emotions most difficult to convey is dread. Typically, it takes time and background to properly build that suspense, but Mia Wray does this with near immediacy in her new video for "Evidence," directed by Triana Hernandez. Bordered by all your horror story favorites, Wray’s tense lyrics match this well-lit and costumed visualizer, and what can we say, the ax part got us. Hold your breath and watch above.

My Favorite Color - "Mama's House"

Who doesn’t love a riff on '90s-era sitcoms? All the laugh track goodness is here, as My Favorite Color navigates the difficult times when your lady meets the lady. This Pittsburgh via LA artist has all the right benchmarks for a proper first-time overt drama: distracted bae, big mom energy, plastic-covered couch, and most importantly, disagreement over the host's culinary efforts.
