Boon Acknowledges the Error of His Ways With "Somebody Else" [Premiere]

From Rihanna's "Stay" to Sam Smith's "Stay With Me," there are more than your fair share of songs that revolve around the idea of begging your partner not to leave. However, Boon's new single, "Somebody Else," relays a different message entirely.

Boon's latest track is all about admitting your faults and encouraging your significant other to do what's best for them, even if that means going out and finding someone new. The piece skillfully fuses a myriad of genres, from R&B pop, trap, to electronic. The song's sorrowful sentiment is juxtaposed with upbeat, energetic arrangements, creating a truly unique release that Ones To Watch could not be more excited to premiere.

As "Somebody Else" demonstrates, the 18-year-old Nashville artist is a jack of many trades. Boon writes, sings, mixes, produces, and masters all his music. That immense talent really shows in his work. With his father being Carrie Underwood’s lead guitarist, it only makes sense he possesses such a gift and drive for musicality.

"Somebody Else" sees the young phenomenon puts those abilities on full display. There is such cleverness to be found, not only sonically but lyrically as well. Boon reveals, "I love the irony of having an anthem about being a horrible person and telling your significant other they could do better."
