Lexi Jayde Throws a Party For One in "bedroom walls"

We all know that feeling of having showed up to a party, it being no fun, and wishing we stayed home instead. I don't know about you, but I don't need a lot, and neither does Lexi Jayde. In her new single, "bedroom walls," Jayde admits, "I'd rather be friends with my bedroom walls." Sometimes being alone is more fun.

With an infectious brand and having hooked me on her debut single, "Oldest Teenager," Jayde is one of my absolute favorite budding artists. One of the main reasons Jayde is so successful is because of her relatability as just your average teenager going through growing pains.

Expressing a maturity that betrays her age, Jayde and her music is in the midst of coming-of-age. She grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and is inspired by artists like Clairo, Lennon Stella, Tame Impala, and Fleetwood Mac. Now, in her own way, Lexi speaks her truth and finds herself aiming to be a voice for Gen Z.

"bedroom walls" speaks to the perpetual issue of fake friends and finding it much more interesting to simply be alone. The music video sees Jayde not having fun at a party, and by the second verse she's made it home, happier dancing around, playing her acoustic guitar, and hanging with the posters on her door. Lexi Jayde is growing, and so is my love for her.
