Sabrina Lee Shows off Her Songwriting Maturity on "Be There"

image

Virginia native Sabrina Lee is at the forefront of contemporary pop. The 17 year old takes influence from acts such as Billie Eilish and Halsey, but her personality and vocal strength make her stand out amongst others in this lane.

Her first single "Hurt" is a glittering pop ballad where Sabrina discusses a past relationship. The track is fun, bright and shows Sabrina's ability to write a catchy hook. Her newest track "Be There" is a continuation of these ideas, but shows a more mature side of Sabrina's songwriting. The relentless fast paced drums push Sabrina outside of her comfort zone and show her versatility.

"Be There" is introspective and hard hitting. Sabrina Lee is showing maturity and artistic development and it’s only her second track released. Both "Be There" and "Hurt" show two sides of a complex individual. Sabrina Lee clearly has a lot to say and I'm looking forward to her building a clearer sense of artistic identity on upcoming releases.
