Honey Revenge Have Always Been AND Will Always Be A "Hot Commodity" | THE NOISE

Honey Revenge kick off their 2026 with a disco-tinged bang on their newest single, “Hot Commodity.” The bass-heavy song is a euphoric anthem all about ownership, authenticity, and recognizing one’s self-worth, especially when others discount you. The pop-rock duo explore the morbid truth of finally getting the praise you deserve for your success, but only after everyone has ignored the actual effort and dedication that went into reaching that point.

The single opens with an electrifying array of neon-soaked instrumentals. Verses like “Hard to believe when I’m the only one bеlieving/ How I’m making an effort for no-one еlse to see it” embody the grit and grind of the “quiet years.” The band paints a picture of thankless nights steeped in fatigue, detailing the emotional highs and lows that accompany pouring your heart and soul into a dream while the world just coldly sits back and watches. The pulsating bass lines and smooth guitar licks saturate the air as lead vocalist Devin Papdol calls out fake and shallow admiration and encourages the underdogs of the world to keep going.

“A ‘hot commodity’ refers to an asset that is currently in high demand, extremely popular, or highly valuable. It signifies something that is heavily sought after, often selling out quickly or being in short supply,“ shares vocalist Papadol. “There will always be people that want to take credit for your success, or say they’ve believed in you ‘since the beginning.’ The world will constantly try to force you into its molds and expectations, but it’s vital to be your most authentic self."

The new single follows the success of last year’s releases, including the vengeful “Poison Apple Baby” and inspirational “Risk.” Honey Revenge continues to craft a more mature, confident style mixed with their signature pop-rock charm with each new release. The duo recently announced that they’ll be returning to the Vans Warped Tour lineup this year for its Washington, D.C., Long Beach, CA, and Orlando, FL dates.
